Xypex Projects 29 September 2022

Parnell Baths

  • Location: Parnell, Auckland
  • Project Dates: June 2010 - August 2010

Project Description

Denka CSA was used to create two very large, shrinkage compensated floor slabs as part of the Parnell Baths upgrade.

Xypex Admix C-1000NF and MS600 were also combined with the Denka CSA to ensure the large floor slabs were also integrally waterproof and durable.

The floor was poured as two slabs, with two new in-situ cast end walls containing Xypex Admix and MS600 completing the new structures.

In 2099, Xypex Patch n' Plug was used to stem water flow through the old seawall of the balance tank under the wooden decking, while the common pool wall within the balance tank was coated with two coats of Xypex Concentrate/Gamma Cure to address fine cracks and extend its serviceable life.
