Countdown Wellington Basement

Project Description

This Countdown Supermarket sits on a sloping site opposite Wellington Hospital, with significant groundwater running underneath the floor slab. The basement is up to 2.5 stories deep.

Xypex products were employed as the primary waterproofing system in the concrete and associated joints for the basement car park floor slab and wall elements.
5,378 kg of Xypex Admix C-1000NF was added to 30MPa in-situ cast and shotcrete basement concrete in conjunction with 1,260 lineal metres of Kuniseal C-31DS Waterstop placed within the construction joints.
