Company History

Prior to establishment of Demden Industries the company’s founder, Bill Evans, operated Evans Concrete (a precast company) with branches in Wellington and Auckland. In addition, the company Evacon Floors operated in both Australia and New Zealand.

Evans Concrete was purchased by Ceramco NZ Ltd.

Demden Industries Limited started trading in 1970.  Demden Industries was primarily involved in importing and distributing products for the construction industry. During this time Demden Industries established itself as a market leader providing professional services, particularly with the expansive cement additive Denka CSA.

In 1999, a decision was made to separate the agricultural and construction businesses. Demden Limited was formed to take over the construction business.

The Company Today

The company is dedicated to the continuation of the high level of service established in the early years.  The focus remains firmly concentrated on specialist products for the construction industry.

The company continues to deal with the Denka Group (Japan) and also has exclusive distribution agreements with Tasco Tech-Dry (Australia), Xypex Australia and EMS (USA).
